Building on the success of our inaugural 'Life of a Diplomat' event back in May, we are excited to announce the second instalment in this compelling series. We welcome all students and young professionals considering a career in diplomacy to our second instalment of the Young Professionals – 'Life as a Diplomat' Series, on Thursday 29 August.

Our distinguished guest speaker is Estelle Parker, co-CEO at Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA), and former Senior Career Diplomat with a 20-year career at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

Explore a career diplomat's first-hand experiences working in Australia and overseas, learn about essential diplomatic skills, and discover various career pathways and opportunities in diplomacy.

What are the experiences and insights of an experienced diplomat? What challenges may they face? How can young professionals kick-start their careers in diplomacy?

Join AIIA Victoria for an informational session under Chatham House Rule with an experienced diplomat, where you will gain a deeper understanding of what a career in this field entails and network with like-minded students and young professionals.

Light refreshments will be served.
