High Commissioner to Ghana

H.E. Ms Berenice Owen-Jones is a career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and has served as High Commissioner to Ghana since mid-2022. She has previously served overseas as Australia’s Ambassador to Morocco and has had postings in Paris. In Canberra she served as Director, Diplomatic Academy and Director, Diplomatic Security Branch. She also was a strategic analyst at the Office of National Intelligence. Ms Owen-Jones speaks French and holds a Bachelor of Economics (1984) and a Diploma of International Law (1987) from the Australian National University.
