Whilst Victorian businesses are expanding their operations internationally, geopolitical events require greater understanding and securitisation of supply chains.

Prior to COVID 19, the fact that a single German manufacturer was responsible for producing roughly 75% of the machines for processing high-quality medical masks might not have been well known, whereas today such critical dependencies are being better profiled.

Diversification - ensuring there's never reliance on only one source - plays a critical role in supply chain security.

This event is designed to discuss ways in which Victorian businesses can continue integrating and thriving in the globalised world, whilst protecting their ability to operate in an increasingly volatile global economy.

How can businesses strike a balance between security and healthy supply chains? With a history as an industrial hub combined with world-renowned universities, what edge does Melbourne, and Victoria, have when it comes to the availability of future talent and historical expertise?
